AFETUW Stream Network Definitions
There are 5 types of stream segments in different colors used in AFETUW. Each type of stream and the availability of estimated flow information for each type are described as follows:
Natural stream which applies the Surface Water Allocation Directive (SWAD) minimum environmental flow criteria. The Environmental Flow (EF) report includes SWAD daily minimum flow estimates.
Natural stream which applies the Instream Objective (IO) minimum environmental flow criteria. The EF report includes the IO daily minimum flows.
Natural stream with no EF report available. The environmental flow for this stream may be governed by an existing water management plan with unique minimum flow criteria that could not be provided by AFETUW.
Regulated stream with no AFETUW reports available. Due to the unique hydrology of this stream, ungauged flows estimates are unavailable.
Natural stream with no AFETUW natural flow reports available.
